Today I’m sharing this easy Christmas tag set that is the perfect small gift for a neighbor or co-worker…just make sure you give it to them prior to the last-minute rush before the holidays so that they are able to use them this year!
Let’s start by creating that adorable little wooden crate! Die-cut two crate panels from heavyweight (110 lb) Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. If you have an electronic die-cutting machine, there are plenty of similar digital designs available for these as well.
Die-cut holly leaves from Curious Metallic Botanic Cardstock and adhere to the corner of the wooden crate with glue. Add enamel dots for holly berries (tip: if you don’t have the perfect color of enamel dots for your project, just color over them with alcohol-based markers).
To create the tags, start by trimming several pieces of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock (110 lb) to 3″ by 6″ and scoring them down the center.
Mask off a ¼” border around the front of the tag with low-tack tape. Then, stamp a holiday background pattern over the top in pretty wintry-colored ink.
Using the same color, lightly ink over the pattern with a foam blending tool to create a subtle tone-on-tone look. Add more ink to the edges of the masked area for added interest if desired.
Remove the low-tack tape to reveal your beautiful pattern and fold each tag in half. I used many different background stamps and ink colors to create a variety of tags for my recipient, but you can stick to one design to quickly make all of your tags.
Punch a hole in the top corner of each tag. Die-cut a short holiday sentiment from Bright Foil Cardstock (I used both silver and gold depending on the ink color) and adhere it to the lower-right corner with liquid glue.
