Houston Flooding and Impacts from Hurricane Harvey
Houston is facing unprecedented flooding in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, and the entire Texas Gulf Coast continues to be severely impacted. This catastrophic disaster hits close to home for one of our CutCardStock team members, Drew Conklin, who is based in Houston, TX.
She recently shared some images that not only show the wide spread destruction caused but also the tremendous compassion and selfless heroism.
There have been desperate posts on social media from people trapped in houses with rising water and to see the immediate response from people opening up their homes, calling emergency services for them, and even getting in rafts and boats to go save people is really inspiring.
Some of these photos are from the Harris County Sheriff’s office and posts from friends and news outlets. The scope of the flooding is indescribable.
