Happy Easter box card with Cut Card Stock!

Do you ever feel the need to impress your friends with the cards you make? I do-I feel the need to one up my last card-this insanity must end-LOL!! Lee-Ann here and this is why I chose to share a box card today-they never fail to wow the non crafters out there. I also find that they are super easy to make with a bunch of dies and FABULOUS card stock from Cut Card Stock. **Choose your supplies-Cardstock and adhesive

**choose your die and cut out the white card stock base 2 times using Basis white 110 lb cover stock card stock-this is actually the Jaded Blossom Scallop Caddy Die which actually creates a box…so as a result I cut the bottom of the box off following the score lines…fold on the score lines using one back scalloped side unfolded and adhere the side tabs to each piece

**then cut a piece of white basis card stock into a strip 1×4″,  score 1/4″ in from each small end using a Martha Stewart score board and fold the ends in opposite directions and adhere to the center of your box as shown in the picture…this allows the box card to fold flat

**Now get ready to decorate the heck out of this box card, I grabbed all my dies and started diecutting…first I die cut the layer to the box card 2x using the aquamarine Stardream Metallic card stock and adhered one as the background of my card and cut the other one in half and applied  the square bottom piece to the base of the front of my box card and the Scallop piece to the folded front flap. I then cut the Coral Stardream Metallic card stock using the bow dies and a border die piece. I applied the border die piece to the top of the flap to cover the edge and then applied the bow to give the edge a finished look. 

**I then wanted some elements to appear like they are floating…so I grabbed my Ric Rac Topper die and cut it out with acetate and sandwiched this over the strip that  I centered in my box card-this leaves a clear arch to apply my pieces to…I also cut a 1/2″ by 4″ long strip and applied it to the arch so that my elements would have some height

**I then cut a rabbit out of Basis brown card stock(chocolate bunny!!)

**I also cut some eggs using Stardream Metallic card stock in coral, rose quartz and kunzite using my Jaded Blossom egg die

**Then some grass out of Basis white card stock…I trimmed the grass to fit inside my box card

**I colored the white card stock with a CG1 Spectrum Noir marker

**oops-can’t forget my butterflies-this one was in rose quartz Stardream Metallic card stock

***I quickly adhered my eggs onto the sky portion of the box card, the adhered my grass just behind the bow on the inside front of the box card, then next I added the bunny behind the grass so that it looks like he’s sitting in the grass…added a jaunty blue bow cut out of the aquamarine Stardream Metallic card stock…I then glued my butterflies  to the acetate arch and strip…so they appear to be floating-YAY! They were cute from rose quartz and coral Stardream Card stock.

**I chose to heat emboss my sentiment with my Marvy heat gun after using my EK Success powder tool to prevent sticking then stamping my sentiment with Versamark and using white embossing powder

**I added a white daisy to the bow front that I cut from Basis white cover card stock…Construction is finished!  I jazzed things up with Nuvo Crystal drops. This card even folds flat for mailing-YAY!
