I know we are approaching the end of summer, but I’m not ready to think about back to school just yet! We are still enjoying the lazy days…. sleeping in, playing outside and plenty of time in and on the water. These days won’t last, so I’m making sure I capture the moments and document them. Here’s a great way to document those special moments, and with pocket scrapbooking, you’ll be back outside playing in no time!
I started with some of my favorite papers from the Shimelle “True Stories” paper pad, and a piece of Esse textured white cardstock.
I scoured through my “stash” of scrapbooking embellishments and found some chipboard that complimented my layout perfectly. I trimmed my patterned and white cardstocks down to fit in my pocket scrapbooking page.
Using the mini glue dots, Mono liquid adhesive and the Score-tape, I was able to attach my embellishments and create all my pocket inserts.
I love how the papers and embellishments really play off the colors in my photo. And I love the balance, even though there is only one photograph on the entire layout! I will add my journaling to the two white inserts before I add this into the actual album. Honestly, this took me about 20 minutes from beginning design to completion. That is what really appeals to me with pocket scrapbooking!
So, get out there and make some more summer memories. Then find a simple and creative way to document those special times! But don’t forget the sunscreen….
