Hello! Melanie here sharing these adorable Valentine’s Day Bookmark Cards that I made for my daughter to hand out to her classmates. I used an existing Valentine’s card diecut in Cricut Design Space and welded to another shape to create the bookmark diecut. I love working with the Glitter Paper from the CutCardStock.com store. The texture is fantastic and the paper is durable without making a glittery mess! I used Pink Taffy glitter paper, Silver Chevron glitter paper, Classic Crest bright white card stock, Dark Red card stock, Satin Ribbon (1/4 inch) in Silver and Red.
My Cricut machine did all the hard work for me but simple bookmarks are super easy to make with a paper cutter and desired embellishments.
Once I had the cuts assembled, I started adhering the front and the back pieces together. Tombow glue has a fine tip perfect for gluing these cards together.
Then I cut some Satin ribbon and tied at the top of the bookmark.
I also tied a heart diecut to the back so we could write “To” and “From” when handing out to classmates. We could have skipped this step and wrote on the back of the bookmark as well.
Here they are completely assembled. I chose these colors so we had some masculine and feminine options.
My daughter asked if she could keep one for herself… of course she chose a pink one!
There’s still plenty of time before Valentine’s to make some Bookmark Cards of your own. Supplies used for this project are listed below so head on over to CutCardStock.com to pick them up!
