Hey everyone! Nicole here for my last blog post as part of the Design Team. I’m sharing an idea for all those planning weddings right now. Now to be honest I would have done a few things different at my own wedding. Fall is my favorite time of the year and also when we got married. Instead of embracing the fall color palette though I went for spring colors. If I had to do it all over again I would totally go with a beautiful fall themed wedding.
I put together these thank you gifts that could be used at a bridal shower or even for a wedding reception. They go together quick and could even simplified even more if there was a bunch that needed to be made.
I started with Esse Pearl Cardstock in Cocoa and Latte. The pearl finish is gorgeous and gives these boxes a beautiful “special occasion” look. I cut out the box base from both these colors.
I then cut out the flower embellishment using the Flavours Gourmet Card Stock sample pack: Toasted Nutmeg, Carmelized Mustard, and Cabernet.
Once the petals were all cut out I used ink around the edges and added dimension using a skewer.
The leaves were cut from Lemon Grass and then attached to the back with glue.
Using Photoshop I created the thank you tags. I printed the tags out on Royal Sundance Linen Cardstock. I love the texture of the linen card stock and the contrast against the Esse Pearl Card Stock.
Trim out the tags and attach the flowers to the top.
I now folded the boxes together inserting the tabs into the slots. Once folded together I used my crop-a-dile to punch a hole in the top.
Cut a length of hemp rope and thread through the punched hole. Thread the tag on and tie a bow on the back.
Here is another look at the finished boxes. Aren’t they just so cute all lined up?!
These go together very quickly and would be such a fun way to package up a few goodies to give out at the end of a bridal shower or wedding reception. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here on the team and loved working with all the wonderful card stock. You can keep track of me and all my crafty pursuits over on my blog: nstark.typepad.com
Some times you just need to stop and take things one cup (or task) at a time. I started with a Pop-Tone A2 Folded Invitation in Whip Cream, a piece Pop Tone Cardstock in Cotton Candy cut to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and 2 pieces of Hot Fudge cut to 3.5″ x 3.75″ and 1″x 2″. I…
