Watercolor Happy Birthday card with Esse Cardstock
Nicole back for today’s post. I have another Birthday card that I made using the wonderful textured Esse Card Stock and envelopes.
I began with the both the Esse Textured Card stock & Envelopes in white. The texture on both lends itself well to watercolors. The card stock almost feels like watercolor paper.
Using the watercolors and waterbrush I began to swipe color from the top bottom corner to the opposite corner in rainbow colors.
I love the water brush. By squeezing the barrel you can add as much water as you want. I felt my inner artist coming out . . . ok so that might be taking it a little to far, but it was fun to add some quick strokes of color to both the card base and the envelope.
As the watercolors dried I cut the Happy Birthday text from more Esse textured card stock.
I attached the sentiment to the front, added a few enamel dots, and finished.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today and be sure to check out the Esse Card stock in the store. All the Esse card stock is currently on sale
