Simple. Stunning, Summer Thank Yous

Do you need thank yous with a summer flair?  Today I am sharing some easy, summery mini thank yous.

To make these 3 x 3 cards, fold a 3 x 6 piece of Classic Crest Solar White card stock on half.  Cut another piece that is 2.75 x 2.75″ in size and die cut a butterfly from it.

Next, die cut the butterfly from a piece of Basis Black card stock. 

Place the black butterfly behind a piece of clear plastic sheeting, such as acetate. Color this clear sheet with alcohol markers or a sharpie.  Stay within the bounds of the diecut shape.  You can color in mulitple colors, but I chose a monchromatic look, since I knew I was making a set.

Add tiny dots of Tombow Mono Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the butterfly.

Adhere the butterfly to the top of the clear sheet.

I cut out the acetate between the butterfly wing and the antennae (where I am pointing with the tweezers) just because I am picky!  You do not need to do this step if you have not colored in this area with the marker.  🙂

Stamp sentiment on white card stock piece.  Place the negative space of the white card stock piece over the black/colored butterfly and adhere in place.  Using 3D Double Sided Foam Tabs, adhere this layer to the card base.  

These come together very quickly.  Best thing is, you can get 3 1/8″ square envelopes right here!
