Every day is Earth Day…or at least it should be.
One of my favorite techniques is to incorporate embellishments that are being recycled! I often use fabrics from old tee shirts, burlap from a bag, cardboard from a box etc.
In my project I combined the awesome cardstock from CutCardStock with a piece of natural fabric. I then ran a seam through the center to give it a ruffled look. I also disassembled an old card board box reveling the corrugated look of the cardboard and punched out some butterflies…. so simple for a really cute embellishment!!
Using a piece of patterned paper I then stamped a polka dot pattern to match my CutCardStock paper, which is the Raspberry Blue in the Pop Tones Pack. I then mounted that patterned paper to an already folded Brown Bag Kraft from CutCardStock.
I then assembled my card adding a few more embellishments.
It’s easy to be earth friendly everyday even in crafting!!
