Stamp the clock and music image onto Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock using black ink.

Color the roses, vines, and top hat using alcohol markers or colored pencils. Rich reds paired with soft greens and shaded grays really make the images pop against the crisp white background.

Creating the Card Base

Start by trimming a piece of  Pop Tone Wild Cherry Cardstock to 6 1/2 x 10 inches. Score at 5 inches along the 10 inch side. Fold and burnish to create a 5 x 6 1/2 inch card base.

Next, trim a panel of Bright Foil 10pt Silver Cardstock measuring 4 3/4 x 6 1/4 inches.

Trim the white panel with stamping to 4 5/8 x 6 1/8 inches. Stamp the sentiment near the bottom.

Adhere the white panel with stamping to the silver panel. add to the card base. Add 3 black sequins to the top left to complete the card.

Creating the Coordinating Envelope

To coordinate with the card, create a handmade envelope using DCS Black Cardstock. Trim a piece of 12 x12 inches to 9 3/8 x 9 3/8 inches for a 5 x 6 1/2 inch envelope.

Using an envelope punch board, align the left side of cardstock to 4 1/8 inches. Punch and score on envelope score line A. Rotate 90 degrees, align score mark with envelope score groove. Repeat 2 more times. Round corners. Fold and glue.

Die cut a decorative clock element from Bright Foil 10pt Silver Cardstock.

Stamp, color and fussy cut a rose image. Add stamping and heat embossing of some music notes onto the front of the envelope.

Adhere the clock die cut to the front of the envelope. Layer the colored rose image in the center.

The bold black background makes the red rose stand out beautifully and ties the entire project together.
