Tiny Tutu Birthday Card

pink cardstock

Hello crafty friends!

It’s Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a cute birthday card featuring our Lessebo Blossom cardstock. This could be for a child or adult. However, this one happens to be going to a little girl who takes dance and is turning six next week. How cute is this little mouse in a tutu?

Create The Focal Panel

To create this card, I started with a precut Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card base and a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White panel. Basically the focal panel was created by stamping the mouse in the center and then coloring her using OLO markers. For her tutu I used RV0.1 and RV0.2. I used R0.1 to color her ears, nose and tail. The cherry is colored with R1.5. The cupcake liner is colored with BG2.3 and for her body I used WG1 and WG3.

Add A Little Sparkle

To give her tutu some sparkle (because all dancers tutus have sparkle, right?) I added some Liquid Pixie Dust. I also added white gel pen to the cherry and some highlights on her tutu as well. Here’s another photo to show the sparkle. Basically I just brushed it on with a paint brush.

Adding a Greeting and Putting it all Together

To finish the card, I added a panel of Lessebo Blossom cardstock to the base as a mat. Besides the sparkle on her tutu, I added some sequins for extra sparkle. Because what little girl doesn’t love a mouse in a tutu? Especially one with sparkle!
