Birthday Shaker Card!

Hi crafty friends! I can hardly believe July is half over where does the time go? I have a fun shaker card to share with everyone today. I love shaker cards who doesn’t? Shaker cards are so much fun to make and to receive. This card I actually made for my daughter for her birthday and she loved it she has it displayed on her desk.

I started my card by die cutting a piece of Gold Glitter card stock with a double stitched 5 1/5″ X 4 1/4″ rectangle die. I love glitter but I don’t like the mess but with this glitter card stock you get all of the sparkle from the glitter but no mess at all.

I die cut Cougar White card stock with a double stitched rectangle which was the next size down from the previous one I used for the glitter card stock.

I used a polka dot stencil to add polka dots with Distress Ink in four different colors (Peacock Feathers, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry). I didn’t add any to the middle I wanted to keep it white.

I added the sentiment “Wishing you the best birthday ever!” on the top of the polka dot paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink. VersaFine Onyx Black ink is my favorite ink to use for sentiments it stamps nice and crisp.

I die cut Pearl Linen Gold card stock with a balloon die with the center cut out. I die cut it three times to stack for the sequins.

I die cut acetate with the same balloon die but didn’t die cut the center out. I stamped the sentiment “Make a” with StazOn Jet black ink onto the acetate in the middle towards the left.

I die cut the sentiment “Wish” out of glitter gold card stock. I love to mix a sentiment up with stamping and die cuts I think it adds dimension to a card.

I added sequins to the shaker card and layered everything as shown in the picture above.

Thanks for stopping by today!
