Fruit Basket Place Cards

One of the great things about the changing of seasons is the food!! After a long winter, there’s nothing better than a bowl of fresh fruit while sitting in the sunshine. If you’re hosting an Easter dinner, here is one way you can combine place cards and a fruit dish all in one!

Here’s what you need:

Curious Metallic cardstock in Poison Ivory
Natural Twine Kraft Cardstock
Botanical Assorted Cardstock
Tombow Multi-Purpose Glue
Foam Adhesive Strips

I began by using my Silhouette CAMEO machine and cut a fun fruit basket shape out of the Kraft cardstock. This basket shape was found in the Silhouette Design Store. Then I cut a little tag shape out of the Curious Metallic cardstock and a green offset border from the Botanical Assorted cardstock.

Using my Tombow adhesive, I folded the tabs and glued the basket together.

Next, I pulled out my little alphabet stamp set and embossing supplies. It’s so easy to personalize each place card using alphabet stamps.

After stamping the tag with the name, I poured some gold embossing powder over it and used a heat gun to emboss the letters.

I love how the gold embossing powder compliments the slight shimmer on the tag cut from the Curious Metallic cardstock.

Using my foam adhesive strips, I put the two tag layers together, added a couple of mini brads to the sides, and adhered the tag to the basket.

Next, I placed some decorative tissue paper inside the basket to add a pop of color, then cut out a square of parchment paper so the fruit wouldn’t leak and ruin the tissue paper.

Add your favorite fruit to the basket, place it above each person’s place setting and everyone has their own fruit basket and place card…all in one!

Be sure to check out the other beautiful colors of the Curious Metallic cardstock and see what fun spring projects you can come up with!
