Are you in a part of the country where it has been winter forever? We still have six inches of snow on the ground, but today felt like Spring for the first time! My project today is a welcome to Spring, and a greeting to say Hello as a new Design Team Member!

Let’s start with the basics — Basis Card Stock! I chose three colors for my card today: Black, White, and Red. I also chose Curious Metallic Ice Silver for some glam and shine. I cut an A2 card base from the Black Basis Card Stock, and then two mats, each 1/8″ smaller in Red, and then White. I also cut a 2″ x 4 1/4″ center panel in Black, and a top center panel in White that measures 1 7/8″ x 4 1/4″.

I cut my dies (Spellbinders February Large Die of the Month) all at once out of the Basis Cardstock (shown) and from the Ice Silver Curious Metallic (not shown) using my Big Shot. 

The sentiment was cut once from White and once from Ice Silver so that it would stack up a little taller on the card for some dimension.

Then I began the card assembly. I used Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to adhere all dies, and Scor-Tape for the panels.

The Ice Silver Curious Metallic really added the sparkle that I was looking for. Well, that, and I am looking for butterflies to tell me that Winter is finally over. How about you?
