Here’s a quick way to make beautiful cards that actually looked more complicated than they are to make. Using the wreath builder set from Gina K Designs helps you breeze through creating them. But using the right paper sets the stage to make them even more beautiful. I love the look of the Royal Sundance Felt Card Stock in Brilliant White. This card stock has a slight texture that adds interest.
To get started, I used the MISTI and the plastic template that comes with the wreath builder stamp set. I placed the template in corner of the MISTI. Then cut a piece of the Royal Sundance Felt Card Stock in Brilliant White to 4″ by 4″. This size fits inside the template shown below.
Now let your creative juices flow. Pick the images and colors you want to use for your wreath. Make sure to start the process when the card stock is in the square orientation as shown below. Not the diamond orientation which is the next position in the wreath builder. The reason for starting here is because your image may stamp off the paper sometimes if you start by placing it in the diamond orientation.
Each image is stamped eight times. You shift the card stock around the plastic template by aligning it in the eight different corners. Each time you shift the card stock to a new corner, re-ink and stamp the image. The picture below shows the first image stamped eight times in red and the first three stamps of the second image in green. I overlapped these two slightly to give it that “wreath” look.
Below the picture illustrates, the third image added in an orange color. Again I’m overlapping the images slightly.
Continue to add images and ink colors until your happy with your wreath. Pictured below is my finished wreath. I used five images in five different colors.
To finish the card, I added a pop of color behind the wreath panel in Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green. This card stock coordinated perfectly with the ink colors. I stamped a sentiment and die-cut it with a circle die so it fit inside the wreath. I popped the circle sentiment up with some Double-Sided Foam Adhesive.
Here’s a close-up of the finished card.
