Isn’t it great to get a card when you aren’t expecting one? Those are the best moments. I recently made some bright and cheerful “friendship” cards that I can send out to surprise others. Here’s one of them. By using the Pop-Tone card stock it made these cards come together quickly. Better yet, it’s on sale this month.
I started by selecting several coordinating shades of Pop-Tone card stock to create the layered flowers and leaves. I made several flowers with the same shades but switched up the layering. For some the darker shade was in the back. For others it was the top layer.
To add even more texture, I created a frame from the Limba Woodgrain Textured card stock. After die-cutting the frame, I adhered the pop-tone flowers and leaves to the wood grain card stock. Some of the images I glued with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue. Others were adhered with Double-Sided Adhesive Squares for dimension. I also heat embossed a sentiment for the card front and few sequins. The entire panel was popped up with fun foam and adhered to a pre-scored White Cougar Invitation card base.
I like to add an insert to the inside of my card. Just gives it a finished look. To do this I grab a sheet of computer paper, fold it in half, and cut to the size needed. I stamped the inside of this one with the coordinating floral stamp and added a friendship sentiment from Gina K stamps.
Don’t forget all that bright and beautiful Pop-Tone Card Stock is on sale this month. So you might want to stock up. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. Always love to hear from you.
