Hi Friends!! kel here today 🙂 with a super fun card to celebrate something good in someone’s life!
I started with this ink splotch shape in the lightest yellow ink I had on hand. And I thought it was too dark at first but then it grew on me and I’m super happy with the brightness of the yellow!!

I overlaid it with this half-circle of rays… lol I’m not quite sure what to call this but it’s like a sunrise/sunset of sunrays. You get the idea!! I used the darkest yellow color I had on hand. It came out a little brown for my taste… I wanted something a bit brighter I think!!
Once I stamped out the top half of the rays, I rotated the stamp so that I would get a full circle of rays and then stamped again!!
Here you can see that the middle got a little messy. I really wanted to make sure that the rays would be sticking out all the way around without too many gaps, and that meant I had to overlap my middle a little more than I would have liked. But it’s okay, we can hide that!!
I stamped out my sentiments on scrap strips of
Classic Crest cardstock in
Solar White. I made sure to use a nice, juicy pigment ink so that my black sentiment came out thick and dark!
I then matted both sentiments using some
Curious Metallic in Blue because I wanted that would be dark and stand out against the bright white and yellow on the card. I also thought the shimmer in the
Curious Metallic Cardstocks would be a nice complement without being too distracting!!
After trimming off that tail on the “wishes come true” sentiment, I stuck down the “congrats” banner with some pop dots and then stuck the whole front onto my A2 card.
And ta-dah!! Again, I LOVE LOVE LOVE stamping on this Classic Crest cardstock. Somehow, it makes all the cards come out prettier!! haha!!
