Hi Friends!! kel here today 🙂 This was another really fun card to make because I got my fingers inky AND I got to break out the heat gun, which I rarely get to do these days!! Today’s card is made using some beautifully bright colors from the Pop Tones Cardstock line and the Basis Cardstock line.
I started with a scrap piece of 65# Pop Tones in Sweet Tooth White and used a pretty flower stamp and my Versamark ink pad to stamp all over the piece.
Then I used some clear embossing powder and sprinkled it all over. Okay, it came out as a pour, not so much a sprinkle.
Then I used a clean, stiff, but small bristled brush to dust off as much excess embossing powder as I could.
And then used the heat gun to melt it all together. Doing this allows me to create a resist background to color all over!!
Then I used my distress inks and blender tools to color up the background.
The last thing I did was add some yellow twine and tie a bow, and then stamp on (and emboss again, yay!) the sentiment. I wanted something bold and fun, but definitely something that matched the flowers in the background.
And just because it’s so amazing to watch, here’s a short clip of the embossing powder melting!
And the finished card. So happy, just love how it came out!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make sure to stay up to date with the latest news and sales on the CutCardstock Facebook Page!!
