Mother’s Day Should Be Everyday
What is the one cardstock everyone needs in their stash? Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock is one of my go to papers. I can create my own custom colors with Copic Markers or Alcohol Inks. The smooth finish makes it easy to work with and the glitter still shines through.
I started with a Curious Metallic A-2 Folded Invitation in Ice Gold, Silk Glitter Sparkling Aqua cardstock cut to 4″ x 5.25″, Curious Metallic Ice Gold cut to 1.25″ x 2.5″, and butterflies die cut from the Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock.
I attach the Silk Glitter Sparling Aqua to the front of the card using Score-Tape. I stamped Happy Mother’s Day on the Curious Metallic Ice Gold using Jet Black Archival Ink. Then trim it around the words.
Now it was time to play with my Copic Markers. I love being able to color the Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock. The glitter cardstock has a smooth surface. Great for adding your own color.
Next was to attach the butterflies to the card. I folded the wings out and used Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue on the bodies only. I added antennae with the brush pen.
Those butterflies just shine. Perfect for giving to that special Mom.
