A Loss for Words

When you are at a loss for words, a simple but classic card is what you need. I hate having go to the store to pick one out, so I like having a few classic sympathy cards in my card stash at home.

I started with pieces of Curious Metallic Cyrogen White cardstock cut to 3″ x 4.25″.

I inked them with the new Distress Oxide Inks in Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber and Faded Jeans. I liked how the ink flowed smoothly onto the cardstock.

I love how the metallic shimmer shines through. It looks like little stars in the sky.

I die cut wild flowers from Curious Metallic Chocolate cardstock. I attached them to the inked pieces and trimmed the flowers as needed.
I also cut a piece of Curious Metallic Chocolate cardstock to 3.25″ x 4.25″ to create a mat for the flower layer.
Here you can really see the shimmer on the card.
Using my MISTI I stamped the sentiment directly to an A2 card base made from Curious Metallic Cryogen White cardstock.
I attached the layers just above the sentiment for a classic card. Now that I have a few of these in my card stash, hopefully I won’t need them.
