We are featuring a project from previous Design Team member Kristie Larsen. Today we are shining it up using some Curious Metallics, so let’s get started!
I started by gathering some gold and silver Curious Metallic card stock and die cuts some elements for my card.
I wanted my stamping to be subtle so the shine of the paper would stand out. So I just stamped using some black ink. This paper took the stamping perfectly! No smudging or smearing.
I also die cut 4 sentiments from black textured card stock and adhered them all together using a strong adhesives. Tombow Mono Multi purpose glue in the store is perfect for this!
I then added some extra clear glue to parts of the flowers to add a little more shine to give it some dimension and interest.
And that’s it! Here is my Congrats card all finished. Lots of shimmer and shine in this baby. I adhered it all onto some white deckled edge card stock. I LOVE the little detail the deckled edge gives to a card. It’s so subtle but so pretty.
I’ll tell you a little secret right now. When you use pretty products, you get pretty results! Some people think you have to be amazing at designing, but really you just have to have the right tools. That’s it! So now you know my little secret, go forth and create! But be sure to stop by the store first to stock up on some pretty products to make your weekend a crafting success! 😉
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a great weekend! xoxo k
