How to Make This Cute Halloween Card

Step 1: Create the Halloween Card Base

Begin with a white card base. For a standard A2 card, a 4¼” × 5½” card base works beautifully for this design.

Step 2: Cut all your Pumpkin Parts & Add Details

For the pumpkin I used Pop-Tone Orange Fizz and DCS Textured Flame Tree Orange for top layer of the & the bottom layer.

I added some details using the orange & green marker to the top layer of the pumpkin, stem, vine and leaves as well which is cut from DCS Textured Scotish Highlands. I cut the face from Pop-Tone Black Licorice.

Next, I adhered the all the layers together, I added a bit of highlight to the eye with a white gel pen.

Step 4: Cut “EEK” Sentiment

I cut the sentiment from the DCS Textured Flame Tree Orange.

Step 5: Assemble the Layers & Add the Embellishment Details

Once all your pieces are prepared, begin assembling the card.

Start with the background the plaid patten paper is perfect for this little pumpkin. Then add the pumpkin using foam dots. I place it slightly off center so I can get all the leaves onto the card front. I added the sentiment to the top left of the card.

Now it’s time for the little details that bring your Halloween card idea to life! Add your clay star and the tiny candy corn embellishments. Place embellishments strategically around the pumpkin rather than clustering everything in one area.

Now your card is complete! Thanks so much for joining me for this EEK Halloween card tutorial!
