Simple Tag Card

Hello crafty friends! Judy R here with a simple card using the tag as the main element! I am thrilled to be joining the Design Team for the coming year.

Today I have chosen some spring colors for my main images, but with a bold, dark contrast for the card base to make those images pop!

CutCardStock used:
Canvas Textured Pink Tutu
Basis Light Yellow
Smooth Granny Smith Apple
Wild Blueberry Navy
Classic Crest Solar White

I cut all of the pieces I would need (and some extras), as well as the card base in Blueberry (standard A2 size) using my chosen dies. You can use any tag and flower dies that you have in your stash. I added some subtle shading to each piece with matching inks. Next I stenciled the tag background with a simple dot pattern, and adhered the flowers using liquid glue.

A little strip of patterned paper, some polka dot ribbon and yellow mini ric rac, and a few crystal gems at the flower stems finished the tag. A couple of pink staples held the trim in place. I stamped the sentiment with embossing ink and embossed with white embossing powder on the card base, adding some white gel pen dots for interest. I adhered the tag to the card – and added a few more gems by the sentiment. The corners are rounded with a pair of ancient decorative scissors. All done and ready to mail!

Tags are an easy way to begin your design. I love filling up a tiny space and using it for the main element! A bold, simple card to bring sunshine and the hope of spring at the beginning of March! Thanks for stopping by today!
