Spring Floral Card

Hello Friends! Do you ever find yourself longing to see flowers blooming again because winter won’t go away? That’s where I am right now. We are at the tail end of a huge snow storm. Hi, it’s Patty and I really wanted to create a spring floral card to remind myself that spring always comes.

Supplies

Getting Started

First, I cut all of the florals out of Bubble Gum and Banana Split cardstock. I used Mantis Green cardstock for the greenery. Next, I cut out the decorative card base using Amazon Dark Teal cardstock and the largest die from the Capsule Basics set from the Greetery. Notice, I did not cut along the folded edge.

Decorative Card Base

Next, I cut a layering panel out of Banana Split cardstock using the largest oval die from the Greetery’s die set. I used the Rosemal Reflections Embossing Folder to embossed the Banana Split panel. To add a little color, I lightly ink blended Lime Rickey ink over the raised design on the border of the oval.

Next Steps

Now that the base layers are done, I started on the decorative layers. First, I cut a scalloped and embossed panel out of Misty Blue Cardstock. This die set from the Greetery has a die that just does a decorative embossed.

Decorative Card Panel

Next, I ink blended on the floral elements. For the pink florals, I blended Pucker Up ink. On the yellow florals, I used the Tiara. For the greenery, I used Grass Skirt ink. Then, I glued the florals to the greenery and the greenery to the decorative card panel.

Next, I adhered the decorative panel to the embossed panel using foam tape. Finally, I adhered the decorative panels to the card base. To add a touch of sparkle, I added gems from HoneyBee Stamps.

Completed Card

Thanks so much for joining me today! I have really enjoyed being a part of this blog and the CutCardStock product is phenomenal!

Love ya,

Patty
