Hello, fellow cardstock lovers! Natalie here, and I’m excited to share a super cute but simple “I miss you card” with you today. This design came together quickly, but the color combination really makes it shine. I was inspired by a post I came across on Instagram. I could not wait to try it. The bold red paired with fresh aqua? Absolute chef’s kiss.
This card is proof that you don’t need a lot of layers or complicated techniques to make something eye-catching. Sometimes, the right colors and a few thoughtful details are all it takes.
Let’s start by taking a closer look at my card.
I used some of my cute dies and stamps from my stash along with the CutCardstock cardstock.
Cardstock
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Directions
- Cut Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock to 4¼” × 11″. Score at the 5½” mark and fold to create a top-folding card base.
- Die cut a postage stamp–shaped panel from Red Pepper cardstock, measuring approximately 4″ × 4¾”.
- Adhere the Red Pepper panel to the Caribbean Blue cardstock. Trim the blue layer so that only a narrow border remains visible.
- Randomly stamp the Red Pepper postage stamp panel using red ink, as desired.
- Die cut a heart shape from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.
- Using a stamping tool, stamp the “P.S. I miss you” sentiment, then die cut the sentiment pieces.
- Adhere the white heart to the stamped Red Pepper panel at a slight angle using foam tape.
- Attach the sentiment pieces with foam tape as shown. Finish with a few embellishments of your choice to complete the card.
What are you working on at the moment? Anything you would like to share? If you try and recreate something like this I would absolutely love to see it!
