Merry Indeed!

Do you like to add a bit of glitter and bling onto your holiday cards? Or, maybe you’re like me and decide to add a bit and then even more! Toni here with you and let’s don our sunglasses to take a look at my glittery cards.

For these cards, I used the Taylored Expressions Sleigh All Day and Garden Variety Holiday Greenery and Poinsettia die sets borrowed from a friend of mine. There are so many ways to decorate that sleigh and fill it with anything and everything. How fun!

Go for the Bold

For the first card, I cut out the sleigh from Pop Tone Black Licorice and DCS Gold Glitter cardstocks. The Pop Tone embossed beautifully, didn’t it? Next, I diecut the greenery from Cougar White cardstock that I then sponged with a Catherine Pooler Inks.

I chose a piece of patterned paper from my stash placed on a Pop Tone Black Licorice mat for the card front. The “merry” is cut from the same DCS Gold Glitter cardstock.

Despite being a thicker weight, the DCS Gold Glitter cardstock handled the diecut details amazingly well.

A softer look

With the second card, I chose a softer background paper to allow the Silk Glitter Red Flash and DCS Gold Glitter cardstocks to really shine.

I added another textural element using Gold Bright Foil cardstock for the sentiment and runners. Notice how I used the same inks to color the foliage but it looks so different against the more subtle background, even with the Pop Tone Wild Cherry cardstock mat.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my cards. Have a great rest of your day!
