Hi Friends!

Getting Started
To get started on my project, I grabbed an A2 panel of Glama Kraft cardstock and die cut it with the Dienamics scalloped edge die. I wanted a scalloped frame, so I grabbed the Waffle Flower A2 Layers Die set and cut out the middle of the scalloped panel.
Next, I grabbed an A2 panel of Pop-Tone Hot Fudge and the Around the Loop dies from Catherine Pooler and created my layering panel. To add a little interest and dimension, I embossed the layering panel with Simon Says Stamps Blossom Field Embossing folder. The embossing adds so much to the card.
Finally, I die cut an oval frame from the oval dies out of Pop-Tone Orange Fizz. The card base and foliage were cut out of Royal Sundance Linen Burgundy. Then I cut out all of the scarecrow parts and the grass. I colored the scarecrow’s face and straw with Copic Markers.
Next Steps
Now that everything is cut out, I assembled the scarecrow. I think he is the cutest! Next, I adhered the brown embossed panel to the burgundy card base. For dimension, I added double sided foam strips to both of the frames and adhered them to my card panel. Then, I adhered the scarecrow and the foliage to the card panel. Finally, I added the grass to the base of the scarecrow.
Finishing Up
To finish my project, I stamped my sentiment on Glama Kraft and used Brutus Monroe’s Penny embossing powder. The sentiment is from Sunny Studios from a stamp set called Beautiful Autumn. I cut the sentiment out using Simon Says Stamps Nested Banners die set and adhered the sentiment to the top of the oval. I opted not to add any bling, I think the sparkle from the sentiment is enough.
Thank you so much for joining me today! It’s always a pleasure to hear from you! Don’t forget to check out more inspiration on the CutCardStock blog.
Love ya!
Patty
