Hey everyone! Melissa here with a card I am so proud of and excited to share with you! It’s Halloween season and typically I don’t do Halloween cards. I do make some 3D gift type things for my friend’s grandchildren, but not usually cards. Let’s start!
Supplies
- Neenah Solar White Classic Crest
- Pop-Tone Card Stock – Orange Fizz
- Royal Linen Card Stock – Eclipse Black
- Digital paper design from My Porch Prints (Etsy)
- Postage dies from Kat Scrappiness
- Lace stickers
- Black Soot Distress Ink
Here’s the digital paper I printed and the black card stock. I forgot to bring in the white and orange. But isn’t this paper the coolest!? I love it. By the way, I did print this at 50% size of actual size. This is what I love about using digital paper, it’s customizable, the price point is usually always budget friendly and you’re not limited to quantity.
Okay – enough gawking at the paper. Let’s get our pieces prepared.
Die cut your mats from black card stock and trim your designs to fit. Save some of scraps from the designs. Go ahead and adhere the designs to the mats. Ink the edges, if you want. I didn’t. Cut your white card down to 7 x 10 to make a 5 x 7 card. Cut your orange piece down to 4 1/2 x 6 1/2. For this layer, I did ink the edges, and I found some really cool black webby ribbon that I adhered to the base. Once it was stuck, I stamped some spider webs to just fill in here and there.
Assembling the Card
I also inked the edges of the white base so it wasn’t such a stark contrast. And I then played around with the arrangement until I had the look I wanted. I cut up a lace frame sticker and tucked in to different spots. I had some scraps with just the flowers and I tore those, inked them up and tucked them into other places that needed something.
Does my Gothic Halloween card inspire you to have some fun? I hope so! Thank you for your view!
