Oval Thanksgiving Card

Is there a special person in your life who you will miss this holiday season? Do you want to create something special for them? Hi, it’s Patty and this oval Thanksgiving card with autumnal colors and a touch of elegance is a great way to let someone know you are thinking about them.

Supplies

Getting Started

To get started, I stamped and heat embossed the scene and the sentiment. Next, I heat embossed the stamped images with Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing Powder. I cut the scalloped frame out using The Greetery Scalloped Oval and an Oval die. Finally, I cut out all of the pieces I would need for the card as well as cutting out the image and the sentiment.

Next Steps

To assemble the card, I first started with the large Amazon scalloped layer. Next, I adhered the plaid layer and then the scene layer. Finally, I adhered the burgundy scalloped layer on top of the scene layer.

For the sentiment, I die cut the shadow layer out three times and glued each layer together. Then I glued the sentiment on top for a sentiment that has dimension.

Scoring an Inch below the top of Card

Once I had everything adhered, I took out my score board and made a score line one inch below the top of the card. The wonderful thing about the plaid paper is that it hides the score line!

Finishing Up

To finish the card, first I adhered the oval to the card back so I had a space to write my note. Next, I added glue to the top inch of my card panel. I adhered the card top to the card base and let it dry. I finished up by adding White Pearl Embellishments to the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate you.

See you soon!

Patty
