Hey everybody, happy Friday – and I want to know how it’s the first Friday in October already?! This is hands-down my favorite time of the year. It’s our first Fall here at our new home and it’s absolutely gorgeous. Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for making a cruise themed card. I used Cougar 110# Smooth White 12×12 for the card base and inserts. Cougar 80# Smooth White 12×12 used for layers, trim and back sentiment panel. Then, Pop Tone Black Licorice and Pop Tone Red Hot for front and side panels, and trim and anchors. And finally, Patriot Blue for panels and Blue Hydrangea for the water. This Cruise Ship SVG cut file is from Simply Crafty SVGs and was a joy to assemble!
Cut the Cruise Themed Card Pieces
Cut the card base and inserts from Cougar 110# Smooth White 12×12 cardstock.
Layers, trim and back sentiment panel from Cougar 80# Smooth White 12×12.
Panels from Pop Tone Black Licorice.
Trim and anchors from Pop Tone Red Hot.
Front and side panels from Patriot Blue.
Water from Blue Hydrangea.
Assemble Front, Inserts & Back
Using Tombow Mono Multi Purpose Liquid Glue, adhere the appropriate pieces to the front, both inserts, and the back. Don’t forget to tie a small length of white twine to each anchor. 😉
Print & Stamp Sentiments
I used the ‘Print then Cut’ function on my Cricut for the front sentiment.
Next, I stamped a sentiment in black ink on the back sentiment panel.
Put It All Together & Complete Card
Afterwards, once again using Tombow Mono Multi Purpose Liquid Glue, adhere the tabs on the front and back.
Use thin foam squares to pop up the water panel just a little bit.
Pop up the front sentiment on slightly thicker foam squares.
Additionally, glue the inserts in place.
Here’s a final shot of the back. Your card is complete!
