The Easiest Halloween Treat Box

Oh my gosh, I am so excited to share this Halloween Treat Box that I have been making non-stop for my granddaughter’s day care class! This is one of the easiest Halloween Treat Boxes you will ever make. Hi, it’s Patty and I am happy to share this adorable and fun treat box with you. There is really nothing that makes me happier than making something for kids even better.

Completed Treat Box

Supplies Used

First Steps

To get started, I cut out the treat box base out of Orange Fizz cardstock and the Slice of Cake die set. Next, I cut out the decorative elements of the treat box using Tangy Orange cardstock. Finally, I cut out the face from Eclipse cardstock and the stem out of Bonsai cardstock.

Adding Ink for a Little More Depth

Next Steps

Because I wanted to add a little more depth, I ink blended around the creases using Catherine Pooler’s Orange Peel. I blended on both the top and the bottom of the box. Next, I adhered the pumpkin lines, the face, the stem and the decorative border to the top of the treat box. Finally, I scored the top and base on the fold lines.

Places to Add Double Sided Tape

Gluing the Treat Box Together

To build the treat box, I added double sided tape to all of the tabs. There is a single tab on the top of the treat box and four tabs on the treat box base. Next, one tab at a time, I removed the release paper, added a little glue to the tab and secured it to the box side. I did all of the sides of the base first and then the top. Lastly, I removed the adhesive on the back of the base and adhered the box top to the base.

Adhering The Top To The Bottom

Finishing steps

To add just a little bling to the box, I picked out the green gems from This Calls For Confetti’s Spellbound Sparkle Gems. I added just three on each side. The box will hold about four fun size pieces of candy.
