Mini memories amongst the sunflowers

Sunflower Folio

Hi friends, Melissa here. Today is actually my birthday, so I hope to be creating some birthday memories with my family. As a lot of us, we entered the paper crafting world through scrapbooking. It’s been 30 years since going to my sister’s Creative Memories party and scrapbooking has taken off to new heights and aesthetics since then. I love making memory books but this one, I cannot take credit for. So instead of a tutorial, one that I cannot rightfully give I bring you the finished product. I followed the tutorial from the wonderful and sweet MayMay – this is her mini folio dressed in sunflowers. I encourage you to look on YouTube for the video.

Let’s gather some supplies!

Now you’ll make your cuts and scores for the mini folio. Again, please follow MayMay’s tutorial. This makes the cutest mini folio that you can just put pictures on with minimal trimming and cutting. Below is the front of the folio:

I did put in a magnet to hold the folio closed.

Here’s an aerial view of the folio so you can see the flips and flaps and pockets I put in. There are 3 inserts inside the folio so there is so much room for lots of pictures.

This is the inside first flap. I did make this a pocket and cut out 3 tags. I added some hand dyed seam binding to the tops of the tags. These are great for journaling and pictures. You can even tuck in some other memorabilia into this little pocket. Let’s look at the rest of the book…

Here’s another pocket page with 3 more tags. These I decorated, too, using up those scraps.

Lastly, I die cut out this gorgeous flower and added another sticker doily. The dies are from Tonic Studios. This is my completed folio and I didn’t even show you all the pages. I do hope it inspires you to create one or two for yourself and I appreciate you stopping by.
