Next you want to die cut all your pieces. Get creative with this part. Use scraps of other colors of cardstock for eggs or decorative papers to “line” your basket.
We’re creating a super cute basket for my friend’s grandchildren. After you get the pieces cut, embossed, and whatever else you’d like to do, we’re going to ink it up a bit. I like brown baskets for the boys so I decided to ink it all up including the little pieces to give it a bit of a vintage look. But don’t let these colors limit your imagination. You can girly these up or maybe even adult them up to give to friends. I mean, since when did adults have to outgrow a pretty Easter basket?!
Next we do the assembly…
You can line your basket with decorative paper. Then put it together by adhering the box inside to one side of the of the basket and then the other. And then decorate the basket with an adorable bunny bum and colorful Easter eggs. This little basket has so much possibility by changing out the cardstock and patterned papers. Even the bunny. Then we’ll finish it off by adding some Easter grass and goodies. Even the Easter grass can be other colors than green, although, I do have to admit that this Green Curry is one of my favorites!
I do hope this inspires you to create some fun and festive goodies for Easter to give to those special to you.
