Easter Treat Boxes

Hello friends! Do you enjoy giving small treats on special occasions? I do! Birgit here with you today with an egg-ceptional idea for making these cute Easter treat boxes.

The Project:

Let me show you how these cute Easter Treat boxes came together.

The supplies:

The supplies I used are 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock, 83# Arctic Blue Lessebo Cardstock, 83# Blossom Pink Lessebo Cardstock and the Egg Box dies from Sizzix. After starting this project I decided to make a pink box as well, so I made the pink box using the same steps, however did not have the cardstock in the supplies photo above.

Building the Treat Boxes:

I cut the egg shaped dies out of both the Neenah Classic Crest Solar White and the Lessebo Arctic Blue cardstock and assembled the box as shown. I used Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to glue the boxes together.

Next, I cut two smaller egg shapes out of the same colors and ran them through my cutting machine using a polka dotted embossing folder as shown in the photo above.

As you can see, I also added a strip of coordinating gingham printed paper around the outside of each box. They’re coming along super cute so far!

Decorating the Treat Boxes:

The darling little bunnies were cut from #80 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I added some details using Copic Markers and cut the bows and smaller eggs out of printed papers found in my box of scraps.

Each bunny was attached using MultiCraft 3D Pop Dots, which added a nice bit of dimension. A little candy dot was added to the centers of each bunnies bows and they were complete!

The Finished Treat Boxes:

These turned out so sweet! I can’t wait to fill them with jelly beans or chocolate eggs and give them to my two grandchildren. I do hope today’s Easter Treat Box inspires you to get creative with your cardstock and try making treat boxes of your own. CutCardStock has the perfect cardstock for every occasion and you’ll find all the Lessebo Cardstock colors on sale this month, so don’t miss out.
