I think everyone could use a greeting card every once in a while, so why not create a Greeting Card Box Set to give as a gift?
Hey there! It’s Judy here with my latest project for CutCardStock.
Card Stock
Lessebo Colors AMAZON Dark Teal Card Stock, Cougar NATURAL Card Stock , Stardream Metallic COPPER Card Stock, Digital Alcohol Ink Patterned Paper on Cougar Natural Card
Cards
Start by making a set of six A2 cards by cutting three 8 1/2 x 11 inch pieces of Cougar Natural Card Stock in half at 5 1/2 inches along the 11 inch side. Score each of these pieces in half at 4 1/4 inches along the 8 1/2 inch side and fold.
Next cut the 8 x 8 inch piece of pattern paper into six pieces. Two pieces are rectangular and the other four are triangular.
Six pieces of the Copper Metallic card stock are cut to mat the patterned paper.
Adhere the mats to the pattern paper. I cut two smaller rectangular pieces of patterned paper and matting.
Add the above pieces to the card bases.
Die cut sentiment out of the Lessebo Amazon Teal Card Stock.
Adhere the sentiments to the cards. Add some gems to complete.
Box Construction
I started the box construction with an 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of Lessebo Amazon Card Stock. Score this piece at 1 3/4 and 6 3/4 inches along the 8 1/2 inch side.
Turn to the 11 inch side and score at 2 3/4 inches to the first score line and from the second score line to the lower edge. This will be the back part of the box.
Also score at 6 and 7 3/4 inches all the way down.
Turn this card stock to your right. Cut diagonally from the score lines on either side down the the outer edges on either side to the first score line.
Cut along the two lower score lines from the outside edge to the inner score lines on either side.
Fold along the score lines. Add adhesive to the edge pieces of the two lower panels as shown in photo below.
Bring the back of the box up and adhere the two small tabs to the inside.
Lastly, bring the bottom up and adhere the side flaps.
Box Embellishment
With the box construction complete, we can embellish.
I am adding some of the patterned paper, pieces of solid card stock, and die cuts.
A piece of patterned paper measuring 4 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches covers the back panel of the box.
Strips of 1 1/2 inch wide Ivory card stock wrap around the center of the box.
A rectangular die cut goes on next, with a 1 1/4 inch strip of pattern paper over it.
Three die cuts are added with some gems to the box.
Place the cards with coordinating envelopes into the box and the project is complete.
