Birthdays should be celebrated, but when it comes to milestone birthdays, it seems like there should be an extra special “something,” doesn’t it? Hi CutCardStock friends! I have a gift bag decoration for you today that will surprise and delight any recipient celebrating a big milestone birthday!
This project doesn’t require any special “cut file.” In fact, I did (almost) all the cuts by hand. It’s made using the sturdy Basis Premium White card stock because it’s a firm paper that holds up over time.

The other fun paper used in this project for the bow and background is the Discount Textured Pearlized Shimmery Black card stock. It gives a hint of a shine to jazz up the leopard pattern on the numbers.
There’s really no end to the stencil patterns you could do on the numbers. What about stripes for a Summer birthday? Or a tropical print for a Hawaiian theme? I think cutting several numbers and having them ready would be a great idea for last minute gift ideas!
These numbers would also make a great birthday banner idea. In fact, if you have letter stencils – this would be a great idea to decorate a desk or a mantel.
Another option you could do with these numbers is attaching a stick to the base and using it as either a floral pick or a cake topper. I recommend a plastic stick for both options so it holds up well to moisture. You can purchase these at any online or major craft store retailer.
Don’t be afraid to try a hand-cut project…the CutCardStock papers are really forgiving, and all you need is a sharp scissors. The end result is a professional look, with layers of paper that look store bought!
