Layered Die Cut Holiday Cards

Die Cut the Various Pieces
Use a variety of metallic cardstocks to create these festive layered die cut cards. Cut the pine cones from Copper and Bronze Stardream Metallic Cardstock. Cut the evergreen pieces from Stardream Fairway Metallic Cardstock along with a few miscellaneous pieces from your stash. Use Mars Stardream Metallic Cardstock for the berries and Bronze Stardream Cardstock for the stems.
Cut the sentiments from Mars Stardream Cardstock using dies from Sizzix.
The easiest thing to do when using layered die cuts is to cut all of the pieces out and glue the corresponding parts so you are ready to be create when assembling your cards.
This plastic open bin is very helpful for sorting the multiple pieces needed to create these pinecone scenes.
Prepare the backgrounds
The cards have 2 very different backgrounds. Emboss 2 pieces of 4.25 x 5.5 inch pieces of Royal Sundance Kraft Cardstock with the Sizzix Lumber 3D folder. Use the same cardstock to create an A2 bases. Swipe a Walnut Distressed in pad over the tops to highlight the grain. Use the entire solid panel for the first card and die cut the second using the lattice die from Pink Fresh.
Die cut a second lattice from white cardstock and glue to the lumber textured lattice.
Assemble the cards
For the first card, arrange the pine cone, evergreen leaves and berries on the top of the embossed solid lumber piece. Add the word believe below the pinecones. Attach to a Royal Sundance A2 Kraft card base.
For the second card, attach a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of coordinating green cardstock to a Royal Sundance Kraft A2 card base, and layer the woodgrain lattice piece on top. Create an arrangement of the pinecones, boughs and berries at the top of the lattice. Attach the Noel sentiment below the pinecone arrangement.

Decorate the envelope by masking the center area for the address, and stamping in Evergreen ink using a Plaid stamp of you choice.
