Three Pieces Of Paper Three Cards!
Hi crafty friends! It’s Crystal here to share three cards I made using three pieces of different colored card stock.
Have you started your holiday cards yet? Or are you already done with them? I always get started early but then run out of time.
I started with three pieces of Pop-Tones card stock in Wild Cherry Red, Sweet Tooth, and Spearmint.
I then die cut one 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ stitched rectangle out of each card stock piece.
I used a large rotating stamp and four different ink colors and stamped on all three colors of the card stock. The ink colors showed up a little differently depending on the card stock’s color that it was stamped on. I die cut the stamped card stock out with a stitched rectangle die smaller than the first one.
In the center of each piece of stamped die cut rectangles, I die cut the sentiments out. For two cards, I die cut “Merry Christmas” and one card, “Happy Holidays.”
The best way to not waste paper when making cards is to be creative with your die-cutting. So two keep with the three pieces of card stock I die cut every sentiment again for a shadow on the card out of the large rectangle since it will be hidden.
Each card was assembled in the same way. I layered the stamped card stock onto a piece of solid card stock. Over the sentiment, I layered the die cut sentiment in a different color and moved over just a little bit to shadow.
Thanks for stopping by today!
