All the Pumpkins!

Autumn!! Pumpkins! Changing of the Leaves! Crisp Air! Fall Smells! My Favorite time of year! I collect pumpkins as well. I leave them out all year round! These however, especially right now, will get sent to someone I know, that needs a smile. I share my Pumpkins! The design came from a company I love. Cutcardstock cardstock made it awesome!

I started off with all of these colors! I didnt use them all, I link all the ones I did use, but these were all my options. You can never have to many, you don’t always know exactly what you want, so better safe than sorry. As it is, i had to go back for a color or two.

Starting with the base, I used Royal Sundance Felt Cardstock as the base of my card, 5 different layers. Cougar White, Vanilla Bean Brown, for the outside panels and saying piece. The pumpkins are also Cougar White, along with Dark Orange, Orange Zest, and Gumdrop Green. The leaves and vines I used Bonsai Green and Rustic Kraft cardstock. The pretty yellow flowers, I used the Bright Solar Yellow.

Using some Oxide Ink and a dauber, I went through all the pieces adding some shading, highlights, and just messiness. Blending some colors on the pumpkins. All the different kinds of cardstock held up very nice to the ink and were heavy, nothing bent, or was weighted down.

I started by separating the pieces with their base. Making sure everything fit right, and I didn’t need to re-cut anything. This also made it a little less overwhelming. All those pieces laying around. Smaller and organized is much better.

I used a few different way to attach these pieces to the bases. I used Nuvo Glue, Pop Dots, and double sided adhesive. The leaves, on a few, I bent and mangled a little bit, I like the look it gives, the illusion that its a little more realistic.

Starting with the middle and working back, I attached the pumpkins, vines, leaves, and flowers using all the different ways. I love the dimension the pop dots give. making them to appear more than just overlapping.

Once all the layers were assembled, I added my all time favorite Fall Phrase on to the back. I used some more Pop Dots to raise it a little and inked it with some Crackling Campfire Oxide ink. As soon as I stamped this, I wish I would have pulled out my stamping platform. i could have made sure that black was really black and filled in. Next time…

Starting wit the back, I worked my way forward with the different layers. I used Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. The liquid glue I think has a better hold than the dry adhesives. For something like this, that could potentially folded up numerous times, I want to make sure that it going to hold up.

I got everything attached, put the front panel together, and attached it to the front tabs of the card. As you go, you want to make sure to hold the pieces in place for a little bit to make sure it holds good. Nuvo dries quickly, so a few seconds usually is enough to get that hold. I used some more pop dots to fold the front down, but leaving a little space. Never too many dimensional elements.

Everything is together, bring on the Nuvo Drops! I used crystal drops, metallic drops, jewel drops and glitter drops. For all of my regulars, you know I love me some Nuvo Drops!

Here are a few closeups. Once some of the drops dried, I love the effect it took on, on the stems! How it cracked a little!

I hope you find some inspiration from this little card. Please share your projects! I would love to see any and all your fall projects using some of these awesome colors!
Happy Crafting!
