Memory Garland

I decided to brush off some of my off the page skills, and finally create this keepsake memory garland for above my craft desk. I’ve had pictures on tiny clothespins for some time now, wanting to do something more with them. I found this adorable set from Pebbles, it worked perfectly for what I wanted!

Here is the kit I found. It came with 12 photo frames, the strings, and the clips to hang them. I didn’t care for the off white color, or the way they felt. I was afraid the satin style finish on them wouldn’t hold some of the embellishments I had in mind for these.

I pulled out four Pop-Tone cardstock colors that I felt worked with my space and pictures, covered them up with some good quick dry adhesive, let them completely dry and used a craft knife to trim them. I used Pop-Tone Blue Raspberry, Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green, Pop-Tone Pink Lemonade, and Pop-Tone Sweet Tooth cardstock.

Using Score-Tape, I attached all my photos from behind and using my craft knife, trim off the excess photo. These little photo frames can be made. I’m not sure it Pebbles still sells these little kits. Some chipboard and Classic Crest Solar White cardstock would make a really nice base for these. It would just be a matter of measurements, a ruler, a knife, and perhaps a steady hand as well.

I did what I always do.. pull out way too many embellishments! I never know what exactly I want to use, but I have ideas and then I see other things so they get pulled out, along with random other elements I think would work with each individual picture. I have some sequins, butterflies, flowers, flair, all sorts of little things going on there.

Here they are. I used a little bit of everything. Rosie’s Studio Butterflies, and paper flowers. ScrappinHappy Flair, SpiegelmomScraps sequins, ColorCast Designs, Washi Tape, Nuvo Drops, some specific ephemera, and puffy stickers from Wild Whisper and Pebbles tiny bows and hearts.

This was quick, easy, and captured some of my favorite pictures perfectly. I love making little things like this for my craft space. I can look up for little bits of inspiration or even motivation.

I hope you find some inspiration from this, and create your own! Going off the page, onto a smaller platform, even though space is limited, it can still enhance and capture those beautiful moments.

I’m so glad you stopped by, please leave any questions or comments, I do check back, and Id love to help you create something!
