Mini Take-out Treat Box

I have always loved small paper boxes. Ever since I was little, I loved to collect miniature boxes and bags because everything seemed cuter when it was smaller! Here’s a fun mini box you can make for Father’s Day or a neighbor gift…and instead of filling it with Chow Mein, fill it with some of their favorite candy!

Supplies Needed

To begin, I used my Silhouette CAMEO machine to cut out the box shape with grey basis cardstock. This paper is perfect for this project because it’s thick enough to be a sturdy box, but still cuts like a dream!

The box design is by Loni Harris and can be found in the Silhouette Online Design Store.

Next, I folded all the perforated lines.

Then I added some Tombow glue to the main tab to glue the two pieces together.

With a little more glue, I adhered the bottom of the box.

I wanted a blank label on my box so I could personalize it. I love adding some dimension in my projects, so foam adhesive squares were the perfect solution.

After the box was assembled, it’s time to fill it with candy and tie it closed with some matching baker’s twine.

Use a fun marker or pen and write a catchy phrase or someone’s name on the label and you’ve got a fun mini take-out box that will bring a smile to someone’s face!

Do you like making paper boxes? If so, I’d love to hear some of your favorites! Be sure to check out all the Basis Cardstock that’s on sale this month. You’ll find some terrific projects for all your paper needs!
