White Wedding!

Keeping with the theme of our Blog Hop from last weekend, I used the last of my wedding pictures and Created a White Out Page! I have a hard time doing monochromatic Layouts. Picking one color staying within those shades, for some reason, never look right to me. So, When one comes I never pick a color. I choose White! I will give a little black, and only One other color, and keep both minimum. I love doing white out pages. I hope you find some inspiration to try this!

I started off with a sheet of Cougar White Cardstock, Stickles Moon Dust Glitter Gel, and a Tim Holtz Floral Stencil. As you can see, this is one of my favorite stencils, it’s simple and elegant. I want to put a series of cut files on the left side, around the photo, so this needs to be on the right.

I put the gel through the entire stencil, it has rough edges and looks like a rectangle. Using Purple Tape, I masked off the majority of the stencil, leaving just a few blossoms open, and placed additional stenciled areas around what was dry, so it took away just about all of the rough edges. What was left can be covered by the photo or embellishments.

Now we are a glittery, sparkly floral going down the right side. That all needs to dry completely before anything is placed on it, if not, moving things later will be impossible without exposing smudges, if you can get it off. Dry dry dry. While that dries, and the cut files are cutting, I pulled out my color I wanted to use. I used Curious Metallic Pink Quartz, Basis Coral Cardstock, Peach Cardstock, Cougar White Cardstock and Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. The Solar White, I used my favorite Shimmer spray, and made it all shimmery as well. Using these I added multiple layers on my photos.

Using Stamp Market mini ink pad in Blush Pink and Bubble Gum, I inked some the edges of my cut file pieces. They matched the Peach and the Coral cardstock colors very nicely. While waiting for the rest of the cut file pieces to finish up cutting, I pulled out other White embellishments, letters, flowers, also a few in pink I thought might work. You never know where a layout will take you, so I always pull out way more than I know I will use.

I laid out all my finished cut files, these are the Wildflower Bunch by Paige Evans, I cut them in 2 different sizes, and 3 sets in each size. I inked 6 pieces from each size. I centered them around my main photo, allowing the second photo to be framed more by the stencil work. I used Score Tape to adhere the main photo and Double Sided Foam Square for the second to accommodate the amount of the layers I have on the photos.

For my embellishments, I chose white butterflies, resin roses from Tim Holtz, Epoxy Flair from ScrappinHappy Studio, Sequins from Spiegelmom Scraps, the Vintage Dowry mix, Hearts from Color Cast Designs and some Nuvo Drops. I used Cloud 9 Dream Drops, Simply White Crystal Drops, and Rose Water Jewel Drops. My title I kept very simple, using an old set of stickers from Heidi Swapp and a new set from Pink Paislee.

This was such a fun layout to create. White outs are so stunning to me. Ive done a number of them now, and you would think you would run out of things that are white, or ideas because white doesn’t have shades like other colors. That’s why I like them so much. It’s a challenge every time. Each time they turn out so different, and yet still so beautiful.
