I’m really excited to bring this project too you, it turned out more lovely than I had expected it too. It was quick, relatively inexpensive, and fun! This means it is a perfect project for your tea parties, ladies luncheons, or other fun events where you need something beautiful but also time-sensitive.
I cut a variety of circle sizes, 4 to be exact, out of Classic Linen Card Stock in Gold Pearl. This card stock has a slight texture to it and a nice body. In fact, I accidentally dropped one of my circles in some water, it wasn’t damaged at all!
For the edges of the circles, I coated them with some gold gilding flakes, enhancing the beautiful gold sheen inherent in the cardstock.
I wasn’t done with that gold gilding flake, I also adhered some to my silk roses and to the embroidery hoop that I was using to frame my project in. The Crafter’s Workshop Tacky When Dry is the PERFECT adhesive to use for these projects!
Before applying the gilding flakes to the hoop I also painted it gold. I love the tone-on-tone look!
Through the wooden rings of the hoop I ran gold tulle through it, and I trimmed to the base of the hoop on the backside.
I glued my circles, in a symmetrical pattern radiating from the center of the hoop. Then I adhered the flowers to the hoop using hot glue.
I love the simplicity of this project and how elegant it still is. I have a few other ideas using more of the Classic Linen Card Stock and the same color scheme. I can’t wait to show you, in two weeks, how to create another complimentary project!

I created my circles using my Scan-n-Cut, but the beauty of this project is that if you’ve got stacking dies or circle punches, or a steady hand you can EASILY cut out the circles in a variety of different manners! I love it!
