Winter Wishes Card
I’ve found over the past few years that a lot of my family and friends love a thoughtful little note after the craziness of the holiday season ends. So if you’ve already finished mailing out all of your holiday cards for the year (or maybe you don’t send any at all) and you’re still eager to craft, now is a great time to pull out those seasonal stamps and use them for wintry thank you or thinking of you cards.
Winter cards are the perfect reason to use some of those bright and shimmery white, blue, and purple cardstocks you’ve been hoarding…and Stardream Metallics are truly my favorite!
Start by trimming a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock to 4.25″ x 11″ and scoring it down the center to create a top-folding A2-sized card base. Then trim Crystal Stardream Metallic Cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and Bluebell Stardream Metallic Cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″.
Emboss a pretty and cozy pattern into the Bluebell panel using a plaid embossing folder.
Die-cut a wreath shape and several sizes of small circles (a hole puncher would work here too) out of Bronze and Crystal Stardream Metallic Cardstocks, respectively.
Begin to assemble the card by adhering the Crystal panel to the white card base, followed by the embossed Bluebell panel, with tape runner. Then glue the wreath shape to the front with liquid glue.
Stamp a bright winter bird image using layering stamps, several shades of red ink, and a stamp positioning tool onto a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and cut it out with scissors, leaving a thin, white border.
Stamp a winter sentiment onto a scrap of Amethyst Stardream Metallic Cardstock in Versamark ink, add white embossing powder, and melt it with a heat tool. Trim it into a small banner shape.
Adhere the bird and the sentiment to the card with foam adhesive and add shimmery cardstock berries and sequins with liquid glue.
