Thinking of You Fall Butterfly Card
It’s fall my favorite time of the year. I love the cool, crisp air the colors just everything about fall. I love that I can live in jeans and sweatshirts. Now the weather needs to cool down where I live, so it actually feels like fall.
Today I have a card to share that you can give someone just to tell them you are thinking of them in fall colors.
I started with a piece of Pop-tones Hot Fudge card stock die cutting it with a 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ stitched rectangle die.
Then I trimmed a piece of Linen gold card stock down a little smaller than 4 1/4″ X 5 1/5″. I took the Linen Gold card stock and ran it through my die cutting machine with an embossing folder.
I stamped a butterfly onto Orange fizz card stock with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with WOW gold embossing powder.
I fussy cut the heat embossed butterfly out.
I die cut a stitched edge circle out, and heat embossed my sentiment “Thinking of you” with WOW gold embossing powder.
I matted the embossed card stock onto the Hot Fudge card stock.
I adhered the circle to the bottom left of the embossed card stock with foam tape for a little dimension.
I added glue just to the center of the butterfly and adhered it to the top left of the circle. I curled the wings of the butterfly just a little bit, so it looked like it was coming off the page a little bit.
As a last little detail to the card, I glued a couple of gold sequins to the card above the sentiment onto the circle.
