Happy Spring Card With Rainbow Colors!

Hi crafty friends! I’m so glad spring is finally here I’m so excited for everything to be green and flowers to bloom.
I love the subtle shimmer that the Curious Metallic has. For this card, I used three different colors of the Curious Metallic cardstock: Cryogen WhiteAquamarine Blue, and Blue.
I started with a piece of Aquamarine Blue and die cut it with a double stitched rectangle die that was smaller than 5 1/2″X 4 1/4″ and then embossed it with a polka dot embossing folder.
I inked the embossed paper with Tim Holtz distress inks in Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, and Peacock Feathers.  I let them overlap a little bit when ink blending them to get more variety in the colors.
I stamped three chicks onto cardstock with Memento Black ink so I could color them in with alcohol markers. I stamped the eggs onto Cryogen White with Memento black ink.
After I colored the little chicks in, I fussy cut them out.

I then die cut a 5 1/2″X 4 1/4″ rectangle with a double stitched die with Blue cardstock.
I stamped my sentiment “Wishing You a Very Happy” and “Spring” onto Cryogen White and cut the ends out to form a banner.

I glued all three chicks onto the bottom of the embossed cardstock, then glued the shells on over the chicks.

I glued the sentiment to the top part of the card. I matted the embossed cardstock onto the large rectangle panel which I die cut and adhered the whole panel to a 5 1/2″X 4 1/4″ card base.

Thanks for stopping by today!
