Simple Gratitude Expressed

Sometimes a simple thanks is just that… not complicated or crowded out with detail. That’s exactly what I’m sharing with you today.

I started with some basic supplies to create a fall look to my card. Savoy Cotton, Dark Orange and Brown Bag cardstocks. I knew that because I was using the cotton cardstock, Distress inks would blend beautifully! I also grabbed some simple dies from my stash of supplies.

I created the autumnal blend I wanted on the cardstock that I would be die cutting my flower from. These inks are beautiful, and I love the slight texture I got from using the Savoy cotton cardstock.

Not only does the cotton cardstock take ink well, it die cuts like a champ! I chose to cut the “thankful” die from Dark Orange Basis cardstock.

I adhered the simple elements to a card from cut from Brown Bag cardstock. I thought it needed a little something extra, so I used a fine tip marker and straight edge to add a slight border. I thought this created the grounding effect it was missing.

And that’s all there is to it. Simple, but heartfelt thanks can be the perfect way to express gratitude!
Thanks for stopping by, and don’t forget to stock up on orange, brown and gold cardstocks this month.
