Snowman Fun

Snowmen are snow much fun. Even though it hasn’t snowed yet, I am having fun with some snowman cards. I wanted a few cards for the holiday season that would be great for all occasions; Christmas, a thank you, thinking of you, or even for a birthday.

I started by stamping the Frolicking Frosty from Heartfelt Creations on a Sweet Tooth Pop-Tone A7 Invitation Envelope and Cougar White Super Smooth Cardstock (I started with a piece 4.5″ x 6.5″, but I cut it down in a later step).

I colored the images with my Prisma Colored pencils, added Wink of Stella Clear to the snowman, and Crystal Stickles to the snow on the card front. I also added some Glossy Accents to the ornaments.
I loved how the envelope turned out, but the card was missing something. So I went back and used my MISTI to stamp pine trees from Heartfelt Creations Snow Kissed Spruce in the background. I used a mask to protect my image.
Snow much better now.
Here is where I cut the card front down to 4″ x 6″. I matted it on a 4.75″ x 6.75″ piece of Lapis Lazuli (Navy) Stardream Metallic Cardstock and added a silver piece of twine. Then mounted it to a Cougar White A7 Fold Card Invitation.
Here is the finished card and matching envelope.

The card turned out so cute, I am off to my studio to create additional cards in more colors. I used Amethyst Stardream Metallic Cardstock for the purple card.
