One for him and One for her: Birthday Cards Ideas!
We are revisiting a project from Christine, one of our past CutCardStock Design Team members.
Today I created a couple cards using pieces from our Brown Bag line. I actually created two cards – one for a man and one for a woman – and they are both based on the same sketch. I wanted to show you how easy it can be to take a simple sketch and make it work for you over and over again!
Here the cards are side by side and here is the sketch I worked off of.
You can see that I followed it somewhat loosely. Using the initial base to create and then letting my creativity roll from there! But I wasn’t done with just creating the cards, I wanted to have matching envelopes!
I used items that coordinated with what I had done on each card and the same basic “sketch” for my design but they each work for a man and a woman.
These brown bag envelopes are fabulous and a little bit of coordinating washi tape to dress them up even more can make them extra special!
Happy Thanksgiving to you! I hope you’re having a day filled with food, friends, family, and fun! For today’s installment of the Holiday Countdown Series here at the CutCardstock blog, I decided to jump on the contemporary bandwagon and create these rose gold holiday swag tags. I love to make cards for friends and family…
As I was cleaning out the cellar at my parents’ home I found a box of paper ornaments that my brother and I made as children. And about 60 years later, I share them with you and hope you can use these ideas and even play with them with your own children or grandchildren. I’m…
Hi all! Its May and we are continuing to motor along through the wedding season. Still inside of invitation season, but invitations are not only confined to the wedding. Showers are huge (bridal showers, lingerie showers, bachelorette parties, etc.) this time of year as well. This week I thought I’d share a fun tag shaped invite…
Flowers that don’t wilt are the best kind to give to a friend. Sometimes you just need at card to say I am thinking of you. I started with my favorite Pop-Tone Cardstock. I used Hot Fudge for the flower pot, a label and the flower centers, Sno Cone for the background, Gumdrop Green for…
Hello all my crafty friends! How was your National Scrapbooking Day celebration last Saturday? I hope it was fantastic! I’m here to share a Mother’s day card I created with you today. This time instead of using a cut file (which I usually do) I use a die instead, I love the flexibility of the…

Karen also sent us a photo of this card using the Curious Metallic Cryogen White. This card recently won the Shining Light Award. A Special thank you…
Perfect little cards! Great job on these!
