Heat Embossed Spring Card Tutorial

Heat Embossed Spring Card by Amber Lawrence
Supplies:
  • Fairway Stardream Metallic cardstock, 2 pieces, cut to 4 ¼ x 4 ¼ & 4 x 4
  • Warm White Nenah Teton cardstock, cut to 3 7/8 x 3 7/8
  • Nature image stamp and sentiment stamp (I am using two stamps from Stampin’ Up! “Just Believe” set)
  • Coordinating green ink and a watermark ink (for heat embossing)
  • UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel), clear
  • Coordinating ribbon
  • Scoring tool
  • Heat gun for embossing
  • Pop dots and a favorite adhesive

Steps:
  • Score larger piece of Fairway metallic cardstock on the long side at 4 ¼”.   Fold in half to create a 4 ¼ x 4 ¼” card.
  • On the Warm White cardstock, stamp and heat emboss the flower image.  First, stamp the image in the green ink, then stamp right over the top again in the watermark ink.  (This step can be combined into one if you use pigment ink.)  Place your image a bit to the side so there is room for the sentiment stamp.
  •  Then stamp the sentiment in green ink.
  • Adhere the finished Warm White cardstock piece to the 4 x 4 piece of Fairway metallic.  Tie a piece of ribbon around the two pieces of cardstock.
  • To finish, simply attach the front to the folded card using pop dots.
